After being sent to bat first, Pakistan posted a decent total of 159 runs vs India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in their first match of the ongoing T20 World Cup. Iftikar Ahmed and Shan Masood were the pick of the batters for the Bahar Azam-led team.
Both the batters scored fifties to put Pakistan on the driving seat after India dominated the powerplay overs.
For India, it was all about Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya who picked three wickets each. While, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got one apiece.
Arshdeep dominated the headlines when the match started, he dismissed both Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan in his consecutive overs.
Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma decided to field first after winning the toss. Rohit kept star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal out of the playing XI.
