The duo became the third Indian pair to complete 5000 runs together after Sachin Tendulkar/Sourav Ganguly and Shikhar Dhawan/Rohit Sharma. Both of them have 18-century partnerships and 15 half-century partnerships together.
The highest partnership between the RohiRat duo came in 2018 against Australia when both of them put up 246 together in Guwahati. Both of them scored a century and helped India chase a 323-run target easily. Their partnership sands on an average of 62.47.
Fastest to 5000 ODI Partnership runs
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also became the fastest duo to reach 5,000 runs together. They broke the record of the West Indies duo of Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes. It only took them 86 innings to reach the milestone while the West Indies duo did it in 97 innings.
