IND Vs SL

Riyan Parag has emerged as a new all-rounder for the Indian team as he bowled brilliantly during the IND Vs SL second T20i.

IND vs SL: It is evident that the T20 game has become a game of all-rounders over the last few years. Every team tries to include as many all-rounders as they can to get that extra option in that playing 11.

The Men In Blues is no stranger to this strategy as they had three world-class all-rounders in their squad during their T20i World Cup triumph. Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja are three of the best all-rounders in the world. Every other team will do anything to get at least one of them in their team.

The Blues were lucky to get all three in their squad. But now that Jadeja has hanged his boot, India and Gautam Gambhir will have to look for a replacement or will have to find a different combination. And it looks like they have already found their replacement.

Riyan Parag: The Bowler

Riyan Parag has been a handy bowler in domestic cricket for a while now. But he has rarely bowled in IPL or at any other big stage. That is why it was surprising when Surya Kumar Yadav gave the ball to him in the last match.

He was asked to bowl the 17th and 20th over of the match in a tense chase. Everyone thought it was an experiment but the speculation became stronger when Parag all his four overs in the second T20i on Sunday.

On a pitch where the ball was turning, Parag was almost unplayable at certain points. It was nice and refreshing to see. With Parag also being selected in the ODI squad we might see more of his bowling in the future.

It is unclear right now how much we will see Parag Bowl in the future. But by the looks of it, it looks like the era of part-time spinners like Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh will be back.

IND Vs SL: Rain Strikes Again

The Blues stopped Sri Lanka at a below-par score and were looking at an easy chase. But the rain strikes again heavily and it will be quite a time before the match resumes again. We might even be seeing some over-reduction.
