It was a dreadful opening One Day series for Gautam Gambhir to begin his regime as an Indian international coach. And it is one of the rare marks on Rohit Sharma’s record as captain.

Amidst the series, there have been many claims by fans and experts that the Indian team has been complacent since the T20i World Cup win. In the post-match interview, the Indian skipper was asked about it and he was not happy.

IND Vs SL: No Complacency

The interviewer asked Rohit Sharma whether there was any complacency in the squad. Evidently and expectedly, Rohit was not happy with the question and gave a straightforward answer to the fans and critics.

“No, It’s a joke, when you are playing for India, there is no complacency. And as long as I am here It won’t be the case no matter what.” He further stated that the team would have to bounce back.

The Indian skipper also gave credit to Sri Lanka and the way they played. “We have to give credit to Sri Lanka, they played better than us. They outplayed us in all departments”.
