IND vs SL: India registered biggest win in One Day Internationals as they won by 317 runs vs Sri Lanka at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. After putting 390 runs on board, Indian bowlers bundled Sri Lanka batters at just 73 runs.
Siraj’s four-wicket haul
Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the Indian bowlers with his figures of 4/32 while Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav scalped two wickets apiece.
Siraj got his first four wickets during the powerplay overs itself as it helped India to all oit Sri Lanka within 22 overs.
Kohli’s top knock
Earlier, Virat Kohli smashed eight sixes in his knock of 166 not out to get India at 390/5 in 50 overs. The 34-year-old also became the fifth Kohli also became the fifth-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket and he is now just three centuries away from levelling Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI tons.
While Shubman Gill ripped all the controversies and scored his second ODI ton. He ended up adding 116 runs to his name in 97 balls with 14 fours and two sixes. Gill looked comfortable vs Sri Lanka bowlers and went hard against them.
India take the series 3-0.
