IND Vs SL was a fierce series with lots of ups and downs. It was not only an exciting battle of bat and ball but also between players. Everyone was fired up and it was an exciting time to be an ODI fan.
It was a monumental series victory for Sri Lanka as it increased their hope for the future of their cricket team. After all, they were playing with their B squad as few of their main players were injured for the series.
On top of that, it was a historic loss for the Indian team. It has been covered time and time again as the fans are angry. The Indians were playing to save the series in the last match and that got them fired up.
There was visible aggression from the Indian side as Mohammed Siraj and Virat Kohli got into a heated spat of words with Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis. It was worrisome but off the field, it looks like everything is normal and the friendship is still intact.
Beautiful Moment
After the match, a beautiful moment was caught between Kusal Mendis and Virat Kohli that melted everyone’s heart. It also shows that no matter what happens on the field, you can forget that as soon as the match is over.
The aggression on the field is part of the game but as soon as the final ball is bowled, humanity and sportsmanship always prevail. Kusal Mendis and Virat Kohli proved that once again.
After the match, Mendis went to Kohli and asked for his autograph on his jersey. Virat brought out his jersey and signed it in front of Mendis and the pair had a good laugh about it. Kusal was visibly happy and joined his team afterward.

We have talked about how this is a historic loss for the Indian team. But on the other side, this win so much to the Sri Lankan team. It is going to inspire lots of young players who are coming through the ranks. Who knows, maybe this was the series they needed to get back to their glorious days.
