IND vs SL: Team India had a sluggish start in third and final T20I at Rajkot after skipper Hardik Pandya chose to bat first. However, the tides were turned soon and Suryakumar Yadav became the highlight of this outstanding batting effort once more. Surya crushed pacer Dilshan Madushanka for an amazing six, living up to his moniker “Mr. 360.”

SKY hit a preplanned paddle shot for a 75-meter six over the short fine leg boundary on the first delivery of the 12th over, tumbling across the wicket as he did so. Then, in the following few balls, Yadav hit Madushanka for 15 more runs to reach his fifty-run mark.
After that, the Indian batsman went on to score an amazing century in just 45 balls, finishing the innings with nine fours and seven sixes. The third T20I century by Suryakumar Yadav allowed the Men in Blue to record a substantial 228-total in the first innings.
Yadav expressed his joy at hitting a century during the interview conducted in the middle of the innings. Then he explained that he hopes to build on his performance from last year and that this inning would serve as a new beginning for 2023.

Suryakumar said, “I’m really happy with the way the innings went. Captain winning the toss and batting first showed faith in the batters, few shots are pre-determined, but these are the shots I’ve been playing over the last year and I’m not doing anything different. The 2022 form is gone, it’s a fresh start in 2023 and I hope to continue doing well. It’s a good pitch, with a nice bounce and a lush outfield.”
Five batsmen have three or more T20I centuries, with Suryakumar being one of them. Suryakumar, Glenn Maxwell (3), Colin Munro (3), and Sabawoon Davizi follow Rohit Sharma at the top of the list with four hundreds each (3). Suryakumar and Maxwell are the only players to score a century in a T20I in three separate nations.
Aside from Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball century against the same opponent in Indore in 2017, Surya’s century is the second-fastest by an Indian.
