IND vs SL: India beat Sri Lanka by 91 runs in the third and final T20I of the three-match series to take the series 2-1 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. After setting up a huge target of 230 runs, Indian bowlers bundled out Sri Lanka at just 137 runs. Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the Indian bowlers in the game with his figures of 3/20 while captain Hardik Pandya, Umran Malik, and Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets apiece.
For Sri Lanka, captain Dasun Shanaka and opener Kusal Mendis scored had a good start but failed to convert them to a big score.
Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav became only the second Indian batter to score three centuries in T20Is after Rohit Sharma. Yadav smashed a blistering 112 runs in 51 balls including 9 sixes and 7 fours.
Surya’s knock came at the time, India were struggling with two quick wickets in the powerplay overs.
The action will now shift to the One Day Internationals that will start from January 10. Rohit Sharma will make his comeback to the team after an injury in Bangladesh.
