IND vs SL: Virat Kohli, the top batsman for India, appears to have rediscovered his mojo as the team’s runs have resumed. In the third One-Day International against Sri Lanka on Sunday, Kohli, who began 2023 with a century, scored another. Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli led India’s scoring against Sri Lanka as the team’s captain Rohit Sharma choose to bat first.
Virat Kohli hits a huge six
Kohli added to Sri Lanka’s agony after reaching his 46th ODI tonne, while Gill was dismissed after scoring 116 runs and adding 116 more. Once he reached three figures, the 34-year-old went into an even berserk mode. Kasun Rajitha was the target of one of Kohli’s ambitious attempts, which included a helicopter shot. Rajitha delivered a slower ball out of the back of her hand on the fourth delivery of the 44th over of India’s innings.
In the meanwhile, Kohli detected the tempo shift and descended the track to the ball’s pitch. The ball then flew into the seats for a 97-metre six when the batsman swung his bat through the line. Additionally, Kohli’s last follow-through on the ball had echoes of MS Dhoni’s well-known helicopter shot.
