IND vs SL: Virat Kohli has brought up his 46th One Day Internationals hundred as the former India captain has completed his second century of 2022 vs Sri Lanka at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Kohli came in to bat after Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill provided a perfect start by adding 95 runs for the first wicket. Kohli scored four boundaries and a six till the time he scored century in the third ODI.
Kohli also became the fifth highest run-scorer in ODI cricket during the game. This is also his third century in the last four ODI games out of which two knocks came during the ongoing series while one was in Bangladesh.

India’s most depended Number 3 batter has been sensational since he returned back to form September 2022 during Asia Cup. He was India’s highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup and who can forget his impeccable performance vs Pakistan in India’s tournament opener.
Opener Gill proves himself
Earlier, Shubman Gill ripping all the controversies and scored his second ODI ton. He ended up adding 116 runs to his name in 97 balls with 14 fours and two sixes. Gill looked comfortable vs Sri Lanka bowlers and went hard against them.
With this century Kohli has also surpassed Sachin Tendulkar in the list of scoring most centuries at home soil. Kohli now sits at the top spot with 21 tons while Sachin is at the second with 20 centuries.
