Ind Vs WI 2023: BCCI has announced the Indian team squad for the upcoming tour of West Indies. Some shocking names have been left out of both the test and ODI squad. While youngsters are given chance to prove themselves.
The biggest change that everyone noticed was Pujara being left out of the test squad. After many underwhelming performances, the board has decided to bench Pujara. We don’t know whether Pujara will be in the squad again or not, but this might be the start of a new era for Team India.
Betting On Youngsters
The selection committee knew that after the loss in WTC 2023 final, something needed to be changed. And that can be seen as many youngsters are in ODI and Test squads for the upcoming tour. Many players that were not given chances before are also selected.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Mukesh Kumar are given chances in both squads. Sanju Samson has been selected for the ODI squad alongside Jaydev Unadkat and Umran Malik. Jaydev Unadkat and Navdeep Saini are also part of the test squad.
Shami has been rested from both squads as he will feature in Ireland series before the Asia Cup 2023.

Rohit In-Charge For Ind Vs WI 2023
After months of controversies, BCCI has finally answered that they have full trust in Rohit Sharma. Rohit will lead the Indian team in both formats against West Indies. Ajinkya Rahane is back as the Vice-Captain of the test squad, while Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain for ODI Squad,
The T20i squad will be announced later, so keep an eye on that too. Many youngsters like Rinku Singh and Sai Sudharshan are expected to get a call-up.
