The spin-friendly wicket of the test match was doing all sorts of tricks on batsmen. Rather it is turning whole 90 degrees or even unreal bounce. One such incident happened when Jadeja was batting.
Shocked Jadeja
In the 137th over of the Indian innings, a ball bounced unexpectedly and completely stunned the star all-rounder. Kraigg Brathwaite was bowling his seventh over and Jadeja was batting without a helmet.
The ball was over pitch directly in front of Jadeja as he went down to defend the ball, it spun and bounced unexpectedly and left Jadeja perplexed. Sir Jadeja immediately went ahead and asked for a helmet.
On the non-strike end, Virat Kohli was also amused by the ball and was not able to hide his emotions. A cheeky smile to Jadeja was all that was needed to showcase what he felt about the delivery.
Strong Lead In Ind Vs WI 2023 Series
India won the first of the two matches series comfortably. Blue Tigres annihilated the Carribeans by an inning and 141 runs. Yashaswi Jaiswal scored massive 171 runs while Ashwin took 12 wickets in the match.
It was a dominant victory and the right start to World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.
