IND vs WI: The start of the third T20I between India and West Indies faced an unexpected delay. Despite rain being forecasted for the game at Guyana’s Providence Stadium, the commencement of play was not hindered by weather conditions. Surprisingly, the umpires and players had already taken their positions on the field and were on the brink of commencing the match. However, they had to abruptly retreat when it was noticed that the 30-yard circle had not been marked. Although the delay lasted only a brief moment, it marked one of the most unusual causes for a hold-up in the beginning of an international cricket match. This incident also highlights the issue brought in by Hardik Pandya that basic arrangements are not taken care of.

West Indies leads the series 2-0
Notably, West Indies hold a 2-0 advantage in the five-match series, rendering this particular game a crucial one for India if they intend to stay competitive in this bilateral cricket contest. Concurrently, both teams have implemented alterations to their respective lineups for this match. The home team found themselves compelled to make a substitution due to Jason Holder’s absence owing to an injury concern, resulting in Roston Chase taking his place. On the other side, the Indian team under the leadership of Hardik Pandya also introduced a couple of modifications. Kuldeep Yadav was selected in lieu of Ravi Bishnoi, and Yashasvi Jaiswal marked his debut in the shortest format of the game, stepping in for Ishan Kishan.
In keeping with the series’ prevailing pattern, West Indies secured the toss and made the decision to bat initially. This aligns with their approach throughout the series thus far. In the series opener, the home team had elected to bat first and emerged victorious; conversely, in the second match, India opted to bat, yet West Indies still secured a triumph. Nicholas Pooran has consistently demonstrated outstanding form for the West Indies, while Tilak Varma has emerged as India’s standout performer in the ongoing series. Nonetheless, India is seeking contributions from their other batsmen as the series hangs in the balance.
