Sanju Samson pulls off a stunner
Despite not performing up to his usual standards in the ongoing series against India, Mayers exhibited his potential in the fourth T20I. Displaying an aggressive style of play, he hammered 13 runs off spinner Axar Patel’s first over. Maintaining his aggressive approach into the second over, Mayers struck a boundary off the third delivery against Arshdeep Singh. However, Arshdeep quickly retaliated, making an impressive comeback and claiming Mayers’ wicket on the very next ball.
Delivering a well-pitched short-length ball with added bounce, the left-arm pacer caught Mayers off guard. In an attempt to ramp the ball over the wicketkeeper, Mayers arched back, but instead, he only succeeded in getting an edge. Wicketkeeper Sanju Samson showcased excellent timing and leaping skill to execute a remarkable catch.
