India beat Bangladesh in one of the most stylish fashions in their fourth match of the ongoing T20 World Cup. The match was brutally affected by rain and later DLS method was used to get the match winner. Bangladesh needed 151 runs in 16 overs after the match was halted in the ninth over.
Liton Das top-scored for Bangladesh with his 60-run knock. He was dismissed through a run-out by KL Rahul.
On the second ball after the game’s resumption, Shanto played toward the deep midwicket.
He and Litton looked for a double but Rahul’s throw earned India their first wicket of the innings.
Earlier riding on KL Rahul and Virat Kohli’s fifty India put 184 runs in their 20 overs.
With this win India surged to second spot in Group 2 points table tied with South Africa at 6 points. Proteas lead because of their better run rate.
India will next face Zimbabwe in their last match of the tournament.
