Chandrayaan-3 Landing: On a remarkable Wednesday, India etched its name into the annals of history as the Vikram lander of Chandrayaan-3 accomplished a flawless soft landing on the southern extremity of the Moon. Congratulating the country and ISRO on the big day, sports fraternity also came ahead and made heartwarming posts.

The successful touchdown occurred precisely at 6:04 PM IST. It’s noteworthy that this marked India’s second endeavour to achieve a landing on the Moon’s southern pole. A prior attempt in 2019 unfortunately met with failure. In the lead-up to the third T20I against Ireland in Dublin, the Indian cricket team collectively witnessed the entire unfolding sequence live.
But that’s just the beginning. A multitude of cricketers from both the past and the present came together to convey their well-wishes and celebrate this historic feat. Notably, Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Sachin Tendulkar and Suryakumar Yadav, among others, expressed their sentiments on the social media platform X. In addition, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video capturing the jubilant celebrations of the Indian players.
