The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) will begin its domestic season with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament, whose matches will be played from January 10 to 31 in 6 states, where a bio-safe environment will be created. The participating team will have to reach their respective bio-safe environment on January 2.
It is learned that BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has mailed to all the state units that the domestic season will start with the Mushtaq Ali Trophy, but there is no clarity on when the Ranji Trophy will start.
The Kovid-19 epidemic has spoiled the sports calendar. Shah has written to the state units, ‘I am happy to inform you after reviewing your feedback and taking feedback BCCI is planning to start the 2020-21 domestic season from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament is.’
