Indian Women Hockey Team: With a 1-0 victory over Spain in the championship match on Sunday, India won the inaugural FIH Women’s Nations Cup. Gurjit Kaur’s goal in the sixth minute of a penalty corner gave the Indian women’s hockey team assurance that they would compete in the 2023–24 FIH Hockey Pro League.

India finished the eight-nation competition with a total of five straight victories. In the meantime, Hockey India shared a video of the group’s celebrations after claiming the trophy and their gold medals. India Journey in the FIH Nations Cup
India earlier defeated Ireland by a score of 2-1 in the tournament’s semifinal round of shootouts on Friday. India and Ireland’s game had finished in a draw, 1-1. In the group stage, India placed first in Pool B, ahead of Japan, Chile, and South Africa, after recording three victories in three games.
India won the thrilling competition on Sunday, qualifying for the Pro League, and the social media erupted with joy.
