2036 Olympic Game: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Dr. PT Usha expressed confidence in India’s ability to host the 2036 Olympic Games, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. Speaking about the ongoing discussions, Dr. Usha said, “We don’t want to let go down our Prime Minister’s vision. It will be done.” She added that the IOA has been actively engaging with the Olympic host commission to bring the prestigious event to India.

Reflecting on India’s recent performance in international sports, Usha mentioned, “We won six medals this year, and in 6-7 events, we were in the fourth position as well. With better facilities, more medals can be achieved next time.” She emphasized the importance of identifying areas where athletes fell short and addressing those gaps through detailed analysis.

Usha is optimistic that India can improve its international sports performance significantly within the next few years. “If we go about things in a proper way, a lot can change in four years. I believe we can achieve great results and put up an even better performance in the future,” she stated, underscoring the potential for growth in Indian sports with the right support and infrastructure.
