India batted first, scoring 155 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Ireland required 156 runs to win, but the match was interrupted due to rain. At the stoppage, Ireland had scored 54 runs for two wickets in 8.2 overs, five runs short of the Duckworth-Lewis target. As a result, India won the match by five wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

Following the win, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her team’s determination to give their best in the upcoming matches.
