Former Olympic Ferrata runner Chris Donaldson is the strength and conditioning coach of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is giving training tips to the players before the IPL in the UAE. All the players are currently completing the Quarantine period.
Donaldson has represented New Zealand at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. Apart from this, he has also played in the 1998 and 2006 Commonwealth Games. He was part of the 4×100 meter relay team and still holds the national record to his name.
Donaldson gave ‘bedroom workout routine’ tips to KKR players through a group video call.
KKR head coach Brendon McCullum said on the team’s official website, “I can’t ask players to do what I can’t do. I have heard that the shirts of players and coaches are going to be very tight this year, so I have to control my weight. ‘
He said that he is enjoying the practice fully. He said, “The players are knowing Donaldson right now. He has given excellent practice tips which is a bit difficult and if you have not practiced for a long time.”
