IPL 2020: Kohli unhappy with the feilding standard of RCB

Delhi Capitals clinches their fourth win of this year’s IPL by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 59 runs. With this victory, Delhi moved on top of the points table. Delhi Capitals batted first and set a mammoth target of 196 runs in front of RCB. Marcus Stoinis was the leading run-scorer from the Delhi side with his 26 balls 53 runs.

RCB were horror in the field they dropped number of catches and gave easy boundaries.

“Those important chances in between we need to grab when the opportunity comes our way, it is not like we are dropping half chances; we are dropping sitters and those things hurt you. The execution with the ball towards the end could have been better and with the bat as well. Not a complete performance in any regard today,” said Kohli.

While chasing the target RCB lost their openers early. Captain Virat Kohli scored 43 runs but failed to take his team to the winning line.

Kohli thought his team got back in the game in the middle overs.

“I think they got off to a great start in the first six then we pulled it back in the next eight overs and the last phase again got away from us,” he said.

Kagiso Rabada from Delhi Capitals was brilliant with the ball he took 4 wickets by giving just 24 runs, now he also holds the purple cap. Axar Patel was adjudged as the player of the match with his figure of 2 wickets for 18 runs.

RCB could see the likes of Chis Morris in the next game as the captain stated he is fit enough to play now, his addition will boost up the entire RCB campaign.

“Chris was really close to playing today as well but couldn’t make it. We have four days to the next game. Once he comes back into the squad it is a different balance altogether.”
