Mumbai Indians moved onto the top of the points table after defeating Chennai Super Kings in a one-sided-encounter by 10 wickets. MS Dhoni and Co. batted first and managed to score just 114 runs.

At a point, they were reduced to 43 for 7 but the heroics of Sam Curran helped them and somehow they crossed the 100 runs mark. Trent Boult was the was the leading wicket-taker with the ball from Mumbai with his 4 wickets.

While chasing the target Mumbai Indians were on top of their game right from the start of their chase. Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock were opening the innings and led Mumbai to the winning line without losing a single wicket. As of now, Chennai Super Kings lost 8 games and they are officially out of the tournament.
