Royal Challengers Bangalore will be up against the Chennai Super Kings in their fifth match of this year’s IPL. Virat Kohli-led side has won all their four games this season, while Chennai lost their opening game against Delhi Capitals, else they won all their matches.
As there is a double-header today so this game will kick-off at 3:30 PM IST. Talking about the team lineup for RCB, Daniel Sams can make his IPL debut after recovering from COVID-19. The all-rounder from Australia can be RCB’s key player at Number 7. Rest the team lineup is said to be the same.
“We have taken the most wickets in the death overs this season so far and it’s something we take pride in. Dev’s innings was a great one but I’d also like to credit the bowlers for setting it up. (To the fans) I’d say don’t be overexcited. We’re being professional. We’re moving in the right direction,” said RCB captain Virat Kohli.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings must be happy with their winning team setup and unlikely to go for a change. Yet their top players like Ambati Rayudu and captain MS Dhoni are left to perform in this season.
“The batting has been really good. Rutu [Ruturaj Gaikwad] is somebody who has shown his class in the last IPL. You always need to assess where he is mentally. Once when he was off guard, I just asked him how are you feeling today. When you put a question like that, you wait for the reactions, you see what’s in his eyes. There was enough in his reactions to suggest he wasn’t rattled.” says CSK captain, MS Dhoni.
