IPL 2023 Award Winners List: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 finally came to a conclusion after a fantastic journey, and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) tied the Mumbai Indians for the most victories in the T20 event with their fifth victory. In a rain-delayed match that was originally scheduled to start on Sunday (May 28), the MS Dhoni-led team defeated the Gujarat Titans (GT) in a thrilling last-ball victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
CSK’s Epic Run Chase and Jadeja’s Last-Ball Heroics Seal Historic Victory
By the time the game was completed, it was early on Tuesday morning. The Gujrat Titans (GT), led by Hardik Pandya, were asked to bat first by CSK after winning the toss. GT scored 214/4 from 20 overs thanks to Sai Sudharsan’s 96 off 47. Rain entered the game during the run chase, exactly like CSK captain Dhoni had expected, and Chennai was given a revised target of 171 runs in 15 overs. Even though CSK was still in the run-chase because to innings by Devon Conway (47 off 25), Ruturaj Gaikwad (26 off 16), Shivam Dube (32 off 21), Ajinkya Rahane (27 off 13), and Ambati Rayudu (19 off 8), it came down to 10 runs being needed off the final two deliveries with Ravindra Jadeja on strike.
