IPL 2023: KKR’s star batter Jason Roy has incurred a fine amounting to 10 percent of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct. The incident took place during the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where the Kolkata Knight Riders competed against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Jason Roy fined during clash against RCB in IPL 2023

Jason Roy acknowledged his infringement of Level 1 of the IPL Code of Conduct, as stated in Article 2.2. The Match Referee’s ruling on Level 1 Code of Conduct offences is considered conclusive and obligatory. Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct pertains to actions or conduct by players that do not align with the principles of fair play in the game.

Jason Roy delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 56 runs off just 29 balls while opening the innings for KKR. Despite being put to bat first, Roy displayed exceptional skills and dominated the field, leaving the RCB bowlers astounded by his power-hitting prowess. However, when he was dismissed, he hit the stumps & bails with his bat showing his disappointing, thus, he was fined.
