IPL 2023: As Rishabh would miss the entire IPL 2023 season or at least the first half, Delhi Capitals (DC) are in need of an interim skipper. Despite a terrible accident on Friday morning, which left him with no broken bones or serious internal injuries, the torn ligament will prevent him from serving as DC captain for nearly six months.

David Warner to lead the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023?
As the oldest player with experience as a captain, David Warner would assume the leadership role. Although Manish Pandey has only recently joined the team, he is also a possibility. DC will in any event hold off on announcing the captaincy till near the competition.
Thanks to a lucky break and some kind help, the wicketkeeper-batter managed to survive. He dozed off and crashed his racing car into the divider, setting it ablaze. Along with minor injuries on his back, Pant has two cuts on his forehead. His knee ligament injury, though, will keep him out of play for at least three months. Depending on the severity, it can take longer.
SRH won their lone IPL title under David Warner
Along with Mitchell Marsh, the Delhi Capitals have other captains in the form of Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey. But David Warner, who successfully guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to the IPL championship and Australia, is the front-runner. Warner is also one of the team’s players with the greatest experience. Warner will take over as captain again after a long absence if Pant does not participate in the IPL 2023 at all.
In IPL 2021, SRH removed him as captain due to bad performance. However, he has now surged back into form and responded to his criticisers. As Rishabh’s health is the priority right now, it has been heard that Delhi Capitals do not want to make any decisions at this time.
DC will make the formal move when the time comes and he hasn’t fully recovered. Interestingly, Pant replaced Shreyas Iyer as the permanent captain of DC after Iyer sustained a shoulder injury. Then, he was appointed captain full-time.
