Drone Show in IPL 2023

It is said that about 1500 drones equipped with LED and other advanced technology were used to create a mesmerizing light show in the sky of Ahmedabad. This was the first time such a show was presented in the 16-year history of IPL opening ceremonies. Also, this was the first-ever opening ceremony since 2018.

Over the past few days, the team had been practising the 3D drone show to ensure that the drones could form various patterns perfectly in the sky. The drones created several formations, including the iconic replica of the IPL trophy that the teams in the 16th edition of IPL would be competing for. The entire display was well-coordinated and controlled by a central computer system that utilized advanced technology to make the drone show possible.
