IPL 2024: In the last few days, the rivalry between RCB and CSK has heated up. Fans and ex-players of the clubs have gotten into a banter session with each other in the last few days.
Royal Challengers Bangalore completed a magnificent comeback when they defeated CSK in the final group-stage match to qualify for the playoffs. In the process, they also knocked out the defending champions from the playoff race.
Qualifying after being on the verge of being knocked out made the Bangalore fans and players very emotional. In the process, they celebrated rather aggressively and that did not sit right with CSK’s fans and ex-players.
IPL 2024: Fan Wars
After the final group stage match concluded in Chinnaswamy, reports came out that Bangalore fans troubled quite a few CSK fans. They teased them in groups and even made some of them uncomfortable.
So, when on Wednesday, RCB lost against Rajasthan Royals, CSK fans decided to fight back. The whole social media timeline was filled with Chennai fans mocking Bangalore fans.
Ambati Rayudu Joins The Party
Well, things got exciting, when former CSK player Ambati Rayudu decided to join the party. He mocked how Bangalore fans celebrated and even said that this is the reason that they don’t win trophies.
He said “If you talk about RCB, it shows that only passion and celebration don’t win you trophies. You don’t get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. Don’t think you will win the trophy just by beating CSK”.
And he took things to next level on Thursday when he posted a video on Instagram mocking RCB. The video showcase the moment after CSK won their fifth title and were celebrating it. The video was captioned “Just a kind reminder from the 5 times Champions.”
