It was once again a captaincy masterclass by Pat Cummins. It was looking like Rajasthan will run away with the match. But as soon as Cummins realized that spin bowling was working, he weaved a web of spin.
Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma, and Shahbaz Ahmed bowled 9 overs combined and gave only 57 runs while taking 5 wickets between them. This decision by Cummins to stop Unadkat and bowl spin completely changed the game. Rajasthan’s batsmen were clueless against the turn that the ball was getting and Hyderabad got lucky as there was no dew in the game.
