IPL 2024 SRH Vs PBKS

Prabhsimran Singh scored a brilliant half century during IPL 2024 SRH Vs PBKS and has made a huge announcement to the world.

IPL 2024 SRH Vs PBKS: Shikhar Dhawan getting injured early in the season was a huge loss for Punjab. He was the top run scorer of the Punjab Kings and was synonymous with giving them a good start.

But his injury came as a blessing in disguise for Prabhsimran Singh. He has been a good performer for Punjab since the last season. But was not getting consistent chances because of Dhawan, Curran, and Bairstow.

But with Dhawan getting injured Punjab had to give chances to Prabhsimran as an Impact Player. He made sure to grab the opportunities and made that opening spot his own. But what does it mean for Shikhar Dhawan?

IPL 2024 SRH Vs PBKS: Prabhsimran Masterclass!

Prabhsimran started slowly but then built up the innings in a masterful manner. It was just the start that Punjab wanted as he hit a wonderful half-century to kickstart Punjab’s inning and give them a brilliant platform.

Prabhsimran scored 71 runs which is his second highest score in IPL so far. It was also his second half-century in IPL 2024. Prabhsimran has played a few big innings, but he has always played an impactful one.

He was also the one that gave Punjab a blistering start against Kolkata when Punjab chased down the record target. With these performances, he can lead Punjab’s batting lineup for a long time.

What About Shikhar Dhawan?

Dhawan has not played many matches this year and his fitness will always be a concern given his age. Another concern regarding him will be his strike rate which is low for the modern T20 games.

With the mega auction coming soon, Punjab owners might decide to release Dhawan and find another opener to pair up with Prabhsimran. Or they can decide to stay with Bairstow, but chances for Dhawan are looking slim.
