IPL 2024: Finally, after two months of endless entertainment, the festival of cricket has ended. It has given us countless memories in the past 2 months and the top performers were a cut above the rest.
Sunil Narine was cut above the rest of the players with both bat and ball. He was deservedly the MVP of the tournament and no one could argue when he got that award.
Virat Kohli dominated the run-scoring front and was the orange cap winner. He was not present at the Chepauk stadium to collect his award, but as soon as his name was announced, there was a deafening cheer in the crowd. His craze is just unreal at this moment in time.
On the other hand, the race for purple cap was closer than ever with Harshal Patel edging it out in the end.
The Emerging Player award could stir up controversy as Nitish Kumar Reddy won it. But with players like Tristan Stubbs and Riyan Parag in the nominations, one could argue whether Nitish deserved it above them or not.
