IPL Viral Video: In yesterday’s high-scoring contest, SRH defeated KKR by a margin of 23 runs. However, a video of an over from KKR’s inning is now getting viral. Nitish Rana launched a fierce attack on Umran Malik, hitting him for six boundaries, which included two sixes, in the pacer’s first over. The KKR skipper arrived at the crease after the team had slumped to 20-3 in just 3.3 overs while chasing a target of 229 runs. Initially scoring just two runs in four deliveries, Rana broke free from the pressure and started attacking when Malik was brought on to bowl in the last over of the powerplay.

Umran Malik, who had impressed with his bowling figures of 3-33 in the last encounter between the two teams, began his spell with a bouncer in Nitish Rana’s first over. However, Rana skillfully pulled the delivery, and despite getting a top edge, managed to clear the short fine leg boundary to score his first boundary of the day. Encouraged by his success, Rana confidently pulled the next short ball for a six, bringing his individual score to ten runs off the first two deliveries of the over.
The third ball of the over bowled by Malik at 150.4kph was not accurate and Rana hit it for a four over the deep mid-wicket boundary. He followed it up by hitting the next two balls for two more fours, continuing his impressive start. The powerplay ended with Rana hitting Malik for a six over backward point, scoring a total of 28 runs off the over. Rana reached his fifty in just 25 deliveries and scored a total of 75 runs off 41 balls before being dismissed.
