IPL Viral Video: In today’s IPL match (May 3), Suryakumar Yadav displayed his brilliance by hitting four boundaries in a single over bowled by Sam Curran. With this impressive feat, Yadav achieved his second consecutive half-century in as many matches. Yadav, who replaced Cameron Green as the Impact Player for Mumbai Indians, joined the game after the sixth over of the chase. By the start of the 12th over, bowled by Curran, Yadav had already scored 31 runs off 19 balls, including consecutive fours off Rahul Chahar.
Suryakumar Yadav goes berserk
Curran delivered his first ball, pitching it back of a length on leg stump. Yadav skillfully opened the face of his bat, guiding the ball high towards the off-side, resulting in a maximum as it sailed over backward deep point. Not stopping there, Yadav followed up with another remarkable shot on Curran’s next ball. He played a sensational drive over cover, hitting a six that travelled a whopping 87 meters. Executing the shot from a kneeling position, Yadav effortlessly flayed the ball over cover, showcasing his trademark style and power.
Curran took his position to deliver the next ball, but Yadav responded with a powerful strike straight back at the bowler. Although Curran made a valiant attempt to get a finger on the ball, it whizzed past him and raced towards the straight boundary. The following delivery was a bouncer, but it was deemed a wide by the umpire. Yadav, just three runs away from his half-century, remained composed and continued to showcase his confidence and inventive shot-making. He skillfully flicked the subsequent ball from Curran behind square, using the late timing to guide it off the face of his bat for a boundary.
