Cristiano Ronaldo: Prior to a rumored transfer to the Middle Eastern Club, Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia has reportedly scheduled a medical for Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo. Early in the month, there were reports of a deal with the Saudi Arabian team, but the striker denied signing with them. However, according to reports, the five-time Balon D’Or winner has a medical appointment scheduled with the Saudi club before the potentially lucrative transfer.
Ronaldo faced backlash
Ronaldo, who ranks among the game’s all-time leading scorers, had his contract with his former club Manchester United terminated as a result of an explosive interview given prior to the World Cup in Qatar. After spending time with Juventus in Italy, Ronaldo made his much-anticipated return to United in the year 2021. In his first season back at Old Trafford, he ended up leading the Premier League club in goals scored. The forward’s second stint at United went sour, though, as he faced backlash from the public and media for both his on- and off-field behavior.
