Pratima Singh: We all know about Ishant Sharma and who he is. Now, let’s talk about his wife, Pratima Singh who is just as big of a star as an Indian medium pacer. She is a fighter who has represented India on the biggest stage.
A professional international basketball player who has made India proud on countless occasions. Her sisters, Divya, Prashanti, Akanksha, and Priyanka, have also represented India in basketball at the highest stage.
Pratima has been playing basketball since 2003 and has always dreamed of playing for India. She tied the knot with Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma in 2016, and the couple had been married for almost seven years.
Pratima Singh Career
She started playing basketball in 2003 and joined the Junior Indian team in 2006. With her amazing skills, it was not long before she started rising the ranks as she became the team captain in 2008.
She led her Delhi Univerity team in many tournaments and was their best player in almost every tournament. Under leadership, the team won the All India University Basketball Championship.
She represented India in the Asian Games 2010 in China. The team lost all three matches, but the players’ efforts were commendable, and they left the tournament with lots of learnings.
