Sanjay Manjrekar hilarious remark on Ravindra Jadeja not-out decision left everyone in splits and took over the internet.

Ravindra Jadeja and Sanjay Manjrekar have a rough past with each other. During the IND Vs BAN T20 World Cup warm-up game we saw another glimpse of the tension when Manjrekar sarcastically remarked on Jadeja’s batting.

Or it would be better to say that he avoided any remark on Jaeja’s batting. The statement left the fellow commentators in splits and all of them had a good laugh about it.

The incident happened in the 17th over when the Bangladesh team appealed for a stump out against Jadeja. It was a close decision and the commentary panel thought it was out.

‘I Better Shut Up’

The left-hander swung blindly on his first delivery and got off-balance because of it. His left leg was on the line when Litton Das stumped him. It looked like out from a certain angle and the commentary team reckoned the same.

The benefit of the doubt went in the favor of the batsman and Manjrekar stated that it should favor the bowlers in these situations. But he soon retracted from his statement, highlighting it was Ravindra Jadeja on strike.

Manjrekar stated “He did not get his toes behind the line and only the toes, as you can see, are in contact with the ground. Now it’s Jadeja batting so I better shut up.”

Ravindra Jadeja – Sanjay Manjrekar Debacle

During the 2019 ODI World Cup, Manjrekar criticized Jadeja for his performances. The former Indian player claimed that the Indian all-rounder is a ‘Bits and Pieces’ player. Jadeja himself responded to the criticism and took on Twitter to show his condemnation.

Jadeja wrote, ‘I’ve played twice the number of matches you have and I’m still going strong. It’s time to respect those who have achieved. I’ve had my fill of your verbal diarrhea.’
