Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out from the ongoing India VS South Africa series. Mohammed Siraj replaced him in the series, many people speculating that Jasprit Bumrah will not play the T20 World Cup. Sourav Ganguly, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that Jasprit Bumrah has not been ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 yet. After missing the ongoing series that India is leading 1-0. Bumrah went to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore to undergo scans. He is in the supervision of medical team at NCA.
Final decision could be taken
Ganguly said to Xtra Time digital channel in Kolkata on Friday, “Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet”. Ganguly kept his fingers crossed and mentioned that a final decision could be taken in the next “two or three days” for Bumrah.
After playing series against England, Bumrah made his return in the three-match T20I series against Australia. He played two matches of the series. He bowled six overs and concede 73 runs with an economy rate of 12.16. India are set to depart for the T20 World Cup on Thursday, October 6. The team will take part in preparatory camp ahead of the mega event that starts on October 16.

India will play a couple of warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand at the Gabba, Brisbane before facing Pakistan in their first Super 12 match on October 23.
