Kagiso Rabada: South African bowler who is renowned for his ferocious deliveries that challenge opposing batsmen, is also a Hindi speaker, as you might know. In any case, Rabada recently teamed up with legendary radio personality RJ Karishma, and the outcome was a hilarious clip that is going viral on social media.
Rabada can be heard showing off a bit of his Hindi in the video RJ Karishma posted on her Instagram account, where he also offers advice on how to win over the parents of a “desi girlfriend” in Hindi. In the opening moments of the video, Rabada greets the viewer in Hindi by stating, “Namaste.” He then says, “East or West, my saas is best.”
Then, in a funny turn of events, the great pacer adds, “Me aapke parivar ko paake dhaniya ho gya hu (I’m blessed to be part of your family),” but he really said, “Dhaniya.”
He then calls her father “Suar ji” rather than “Sasur ji (father-in-law),” which is when RJ Karishma steps in and corrects him.
Again, when Karishma corrects him, Rabada apologises instead of uttering “kshama (apologise),” he goes on to say “Sorry me chumma chahta hu” (Sorry I’d want to kiss).
When the duo posted the video to Instagram, followers flooded the comments section, and desi netizens were unable to contain their excitement. Speaking about Kagiso Rabada, he will be a key player for South Africa as they open their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against a team that will advance from the round 1 qualification groups to the Super 12 round.
