Former Indian World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev was discharged from the hospital. He was hospitalized on Thursday after suffering a heart attack. 61-year-old Kapil underwent emergency heart surgery and it was successful.
In a statement issued by the hospital said, “Kapil Dev was discharged today (Sunday) afternoon. He is already in good condition and can soon start his daily activity. Former Indian fast bowler Chetan Sharma shared a photo on Twitter before Kapil Dev was discharged from the hospital.
Dr. Atul Mathur, Director of Heart Disease Department at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, underwent emergency coronary angioplasty. On 24 October, his first photo after surgery was shared by former Indian fast bowler Chetan Sharma. In this picture, he was seen to indicate that everything was fine.
