Former Indian captain Kapil Dev and India’s first World Cup winner, underwent successful angioplasty last week. In this video, Kapil described the members of the 1983 World Cup-winning team as his family and expressed his desire to meet with them.
Kapil said in the video, “My family is 83. The weather is very pleasant and I want to meet you all. I feel good to Thank you all for your concern and best wishes. I hope we will meet soon.” Kapil further said, “We are moving towards the new year and I am hoping that the coming year will be good for us. I love you all the most.”
Kapil was admitted to the hospital after a heart attack last week, where he underwent emergency coronary angioplasty under the supervision of Dr. Atul Mathur, director of the cardiology department of Fortis Escorts Hospital.
After the surgery, Kapil shared the first picture on Friday, in which he said that he is absolutely fine and is slowly getting healthier. Two days later Kapil was discharged from the hospital.
