KKR vs PBKS IPL 2023: In their home fixture of the Indian Premier League, the Kolkata Knight Riders are currently facing off against the Punjab Kings. Meanwhile, the Kings managed to set a target of 179 runs within their designated 20 overs. In addition to Dhawan’s noteworthy performance, Shahrukh Khan delivered an impressive cameo, scoring 21 runs off just 8 balls. Khan showcased his batting prowess by striking three boundaries and a massive six.
Shahrukh finishes off in style
By the end of the 19th over, PBKS had managed to score 158/7 and a big finish was required in the last over to ensure a defendable total against KKR, who are equipped with several batters with big-shot hitting abilities. Harshit Rana was tasked to bowl the last over, and he had already shown his wrath with 2 wickets earlier in the innings.
However, Shah Rukh Khan led the charge from the first ball itself. He started the over with a powerful six over long on. He didn’t shy away from hitting more as he smashed consecutive boudnaries on the next two balls. On the fifth ball, Harpreet Brar also slammed a six, which took the over’s total to 21 runs and ended the innings with 179 runs. This late flourish from Shahrukh ensured that PBKS stay in th game.
