KL Rahul: Taking to Twitter, KL Rahul, who recently pulled out from the Indian Premier League and the World Test Championship final due to injury, shared that he had successfully undergone surgery. He had a successful surgery on his right thigh after sustaining an injury to his right leg during the LSG vs RCB match on May 1. As a result, he will not be able to participate in the World Test Championship final against Australia, scheduled to take place from 7th to 11th June at The Oval in England.

Being the regular captain of Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul holds an indispensable role as one of the team’s primary players. His absence poses a significant setback for the side mentored by Gautam Gambhir. In the inaugural season of the IPL, he successfully led LSG to the playoffs. KL Rahul updated the fans following the successful completion of his surgery, expressing his commitment to commence the recovery process and his strong determination to make a swift comeback to the field.
In a statement posted by him within an image, KL wrote, “Hi everyone, I just got done with my surgery – it was successful. A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly. I’m officially on the road to recovery now. I’m determined to get back to my best and get back on the field. Onwards and upwards!”

For the remaining matches of this year’s IPL, Krunal Pandya has been appointed as the leader of LSG. Additionally, the BCCI has designated Ishan Kishan as the replacement for Rahul in the World Test Championship final.
