Laver Cup 2022: The tennis star retired from tennis with a defeat as he and Rafael Nadal lost the match against Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock in the Laver Cup 2022 on Saturday. It seemed like a fairytale farewell for Federer after he and his partner Rafael Nadal had won the first set by 6-4 against the American duo. However, Francis and Jack won the second set by 7-6 (7-2) after a tie-break to level things. Federer and Nadal squandered to match point as Tiafoe and Sock pegged them back in the match with a tie-break to level Team World in the tie.

This was the last match of Federer
The American pair won the match by 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 11-9. Team Europe had earlier taken a lead of 2-0 after Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitspas had defeated Jack Sock and Diego Schwartzman. Alex de Minaur defeated Andy Murray to pull back. It’s the last time you’ve seen Roger Federer playing tennis as he announced his retirement some days back.
