The Inter Miami fans witnessed a moment of pure bliss that made them jump out of their seats. A goal that they will remember for the rest of their lives. A debut that they will cherish for eternity.
Dream Debut
In a match in League Cup between Inter Miami and Liga MX club Cruz Azul, a moment of pure bliss happened. Messi started on the bench and was excited for his debut. His reaction to the goal scored by Robert Taylor stated it all.
Both Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets were substituted in the 54th minute of the match. And just after 10 minutes, Inter Miami conceded a goal. And it looked like the dream debut won’t be happening today.
But it is Messi we are talking about. The World Cup winner had different ideas and was hell-bent on leaving a mark on this game. And he did that in the best of fashion with utmost flair, just like we know it.
Sensational Free Kick
In the 92nd minute of the match, Cruz Azul’s defender fouled an Inter Miami player on the edge of the box. And this was the opportunity that Messi desired and he was up for the challenge.
A free kick from 25 yards out was curled into the top right corner by Messi and the fans went viral. This might have been a routine for the world cup winner but for Inter Miami fans, it was something they will never forget.
