The captain of the Argentina team, Lionel Messi, scored his 100th international goal in the 21st minute of the game. The Argentina superstar showed why he is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time with a stunning hat trick against Curacao. And that’s not all, his three goals took his international tally past the 100-mark, cementing his place among the elite group of footballers.

Just three minutes later the first goal, Nicolas Gonzalez’s header doubled Argentina’s lead. Messi went on to score two more goals in the first half to complete his hat-trick, and Enzo Fernandez scored a stunning goal, leading to Argentina having a 5-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, a penalty kick from Angel Di Maria and a late goal from Gonzalo Montiel sealed Argentina’s victory by a score of 7-0.
Among all the players who have scored goals for their respective national teams in official matches, the captain of Argentina’s soccer team is third on the list. The only two players who have scored more goals than him are Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal, who has scored 122 goals, and Ali Daei from Iran, who has scored 109 goals.

Argentina played their second soccer match after winning the World Cup in a thrilling manner against France in Qatar last December. On March 23rd, they had a match against Panama and emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 with Messi scoring a goal in that match as well in the 89th minute.
