LSG vs DC IPL 2023: Kyle Mayers made the Delhi Capitals pay for a spectacular lost catch by opening the batting for the Lucknow Super Giants. Mayers got off to a poor start, and Khaleel Ahmed saved his life with an incredible dropped catch when he was on 14. The decrease is simply half of Delhi Caps’ dreadful performance on the pitch. Mayers has retaliated by slamming the DC bowlers all over the field and blazing past 50 in just 28 balls.
DC is missing pacers Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi
On 73 off 38 balls, he eventually fell to a magnificent delivery from Axar Patel. Earlier, in his debut encounter as DC captain, David Warner won the toss and elected to bowl first in Lucknow. In the absence of Quinton de Kock, who is on international service, Mayers started the batting with LSG captain KL Rahul. While LSG is without De Kock, DC is missing pacers Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi.

Rahul bats in the middle order in the format
Both LSG and DC are led by opening hitters who can be destructive on their day but have struggled recently. KL Rahul’s blow hot and cold T20 career has recently gone through a chilly spell and he has scarcely played any games in the shortest format this year. He experienced a similar slump in form, which cost him the vice-captaincy and his berth in the format, and while he remains an important member of the Indian ODI squad, Rahul bats in the middle order in the format.
