LSG vs PBKS IPL 2023: The team’s captaincy was handed over to the young all-rounder Sam Curran after regular captain Shikhar Dhawan was injured during the match against Lucknow. However, it appears that some of the other players on the team may not have been pleased with this decision, as a video of them voluntarily leaving the field is going viral.
Rabada and Jitesh undervalue Sam Curran
This occurred during the 15th over of the innings, when Kagiso Rabada took the wicket of Krunal Pandya on the second ball. Following this, the hard-hitting batsman Nicholas Pooran came in to bat. Rabada’s third delivery of the over went wide towards the leg side, but Rabada and Jitesh decided to challenge the umpire’s decision and took a review without consulting with Sam Curran, who was fielding outside the boundary line at the time.
However, Sam Curran became visibly agitated and angry when the review was unsuccessful, which can be observed in the viral video. Shikhar Dhawan’s absence for long could affect the team as a whole unit since Sam Curran seems to be under a lot of heat since appointed the temporary captain for the match.
