India umpire Anil Chaudhary is not a fan of Mohammad Rizwan as he gets irritated by the constant appeals and antics.

Mohammad Rizwan is one of the most animated players in the world. His antics behind the stump are a source of motivation and freshness for his players. But sometimes it can get irritating for others.

There are also instances where Rizwan was so animated that Pakistan skippers Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi had to take the DRS. And the results were so against Pakistan that you started thinking, why is Rizwan doing this?

Indian cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary, who officiated in over 50 international matches across formats, opened up about the same thing. He stated how the Pakistan wicketkeeper annoys the umpires.

‘Making Fool Of Himself’

Chaudhary enacted a few stories and stated that the Pakistan wicketkeeper is constantly making a fool of himself. With so many technologies and replays a player does not need to appeal to everything because everything will be visible later.

“He appeals a lot. I even told my fellow umpire to stay aware. Har ball pe chillata hai (He keeps shouting on every ball). Isn’t he the one who puts something like a lipstick? He keeps jumping like a pigeon.”

It was visible that Chaudhary was not considerate of his words and was not holding back even a little bit. He further stated that his fellow umpires also knew this and even called Rizwan a ‘loser.’

“The fact is a good umpire knows who is a good keeper. If the umpire is good, these keepers are losers. When technology has evolved so much, why do you have to make yourself look bad? People tend to make fun of such things.

Mohammad Rizwan Heroics

Amidst the controversy, Rizwan became the saviour of Pakistan during their test match against Bangladesh. At one point Pakistan was struggling severely when Rizwan and Saud Shakeel scored brilliant centuries to rescue them.

The match is going for a draw as Bangladesh finished the fourth day with a lead of 94 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim was shy of his double century by just 9 runs and he slammed every Pakistan bowler.
