Indian shooter Manu Bhaker received a grand welcome in in her maternal hometown as she was visiting her grandparents.

Manu Bhaker has become a star after her historic performance at the Paris Olympics 2024. And it is deserving as she became the first and only Indian athlete to win two medals in the same Summer Games.

Manu has been on a 2-month break after her Summer Games chronicles and is spending her time enjoying the things she loves. It has been a fun break for her so far.

She has also been invited to many events and ceremonies as the special guest now. Everywhere she goes, she is receiving a hero’s welcome as everyone wants to get a glimpse of their hero.

Manu Bhaker Grand Welcome

On Sunday, the Indian shooter received a grand welcome from the locals in Khurd village in Jhajjar district. Manu was visiting her maternal home in Khanpur Khurd as her grandparents live there.

A video has gone viral from her maternal hometown in which Manu is being celebrated by everyone in the village. Villagers felicitated her with so many garlands and bouquets of flowers.

The elders gave her their blessings and even gifted her ‘Shagun’ money. The Indian shooter was constantly smiling and was just enamoured by the love.

‘Aim For The Gold’

The 22-year-old created history in Paris but it was visible that she was not satisfied with it. She won two bronze medals but will target for gold in the next Summer Games and will work hard for it.

“The aim is to always go for gold but these bronze medals have given me teachings for the future and my aim will always be to go for gold.

I have taken a three-month long break, I was facing a slight injury issue so I will have to address that. After that, I will return to training and the timeframe for me to return to competitions is five months.”
